I can watch gms, dive deep into advantages & #s, & still get a gm like the #1 team in the NFC losing SU to CAR who were w/out half their secondary. Indeed Bryce Young had a great gm as his oline gave him protection throughout the gm, but Stafford had multiple opportunities to bail out his “D” but played horrendous. This is also why I shouldn’t put my POW in my Teaser, even if it seems like a sure thing because LAR were the only loss in my Teaser. Tua also disappointed to help NOR backdoor the # in MIA. At least HOU & NYJ made me look smart as they were both SU winners. Gotta lick the wounds & move forward in this very disappointing season.
Regular Season POW 3-10, Teasers 8-6, GOY 1-0, Overall 27-38-2
CIN +6 are off a big div win on Thanksgiving @ BAL & are now heading into another huge matchup @ BUF to keep PO hopes alive. BUF needs this win to keep their own PO chances afloat so they will be pumped for this gm. I’m backing CIN because of their history vs BUF & Burrow’s dominance in 40-degree gms. He & his teammates somehow handle cold weather fantastically & they’ve won the last 2 tilts vs BUF including the 27-10 win in Div rd in ’22. There’s no reason for that not to continue here as CIN normally has hot Dec’s like last yr’s 5-gm win streak to end the season (just missed POs). Last wk vs BAL, it seemed Burrow was knocking off the rust as the gm went along & their “D” actually played a decent gm. Lamar turned it over 3x & Likely fumbled the ball rt before crossing the goal line, so the lopsided score didn’t tell the whole story. Allen can definitely play sloppy like that, so it’s possible to see a duplicate here if he doesn’t take care of the ball, but this will most likely be a shootout despite the bad weather. Both Burrow & Allen excel in the snow. CIN also gets Tee Higgins back who is a HR threat like Chase. Taylor called a nice gm last wk w/a balanced ground attack led by Brown & Perine. CIN wins a tight one here.
